IT'S TIME FOR AN AUDIT OF ST. LOUIS

We need your help getting signatures for an audit of the City of St. Louis. The last audit was over 20 years ago, when Vince Schoemehl was Mayor.
After the 1986 petitioning campaign, the State Auditor discovered over $9 million in errors. They included:

* $250,000 that the Parking Meter Division spent without justifying the need for a parking lot.

* $1.7 million which Lambert International Airport could have saved if it had adequately monitored a lease agreement.

* $6 million that the License Collector's Office failed to collect.

"The audit should cost the City about $750,000 to $1 million," says Willie Marshall, Chair of the Green Party Central Committee. "But it actually will help the City save at least $5 to $10 million each year. The City will be a lot more careful with our money if they know someone is watching how they spend it."

Individuals and organizations can help by (a) endorsing the audit petition, (b) helping to gather signatures, and (c) making a financial contribution. Please return the information below and indicate how you can help.

I WANT TO KNOW HOW ST. LOUIS MONEY IS SPENT! I CAN HELP…

Re: IT'S TIME FOR AN AUDIT OF ST. LOUIS

If the Greens were serious about changing city government, why didn't they run a single candidate for alderman([search]) this year?
