Code Pink Interrupts Bush @ Energy Conference

Received from Laurie Meier of St. Louis Code Pink:

I have been sort of busy lately saturating the local and some national media with a recent action for peace.

I interrupted Bush at a Renewable Energies Conference in StLouis- stating "Soldier's lives are not renewable, out of iraq now, no blood for oil". I have no regrets for my non-violent-civil disobedience action, and I did it knowing I would go to jail. All the police and everybody has been so nice and supportive to me. The secret service said to keep me in for 20 hours, and the local police let me go after about 4 hours. It was funny when I was in jail, I sang "Hit the Road- BUSH, and don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more, hit the road BUSH, and don't you come back no more- snap snap- what'd ya say?… and the other inmates said Fuck Bush! hahaha- just a little side note I had to share.

Anyway, I have been lucky to get all of this media attention and hopefully will help people to exercise our freedom and rights while we still have them.

You can also hear a phone interview I did with a local radio station:
