President George W. Bush will be in St. Louis on Thursday to attend the Advancing Renewable Energies conference at America's Center.

The three-day conference is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and the Department of Agriculture.

A White House spokesman said, "The president looks forward to discussing his aggressive plans to reduce American dependence on foreign oil and ensure a secure energy supply."

Bush was last in the area in June for a Clayton fundraiser to aid U.S. Sen. Jim Talent, R-Mo.
