Re: US Soldiers in St. Louis Admit to Rape and Murder in Iraq

I am a Soldier. I have killed a lot of Saddham's soldiers and insurgents in three deployments in the war on terror. That's verifiable truth. These jack-asses are probably not even in the Army. If these idiots are in the Army and have even been deployed, they are likely amoung the 70% of Soldiers in "combat zones" who never leave their F.O.B.s and are never for a moment in the same zip code as "harm's way". The sad fact of the matter is, in the Military or not most people when it comes to issues dealing with Iraq and their involvement are ashamed that they are too cowardly to enlist or having enlisted now realize that combat is not a friggin' video game. They are glad to allow the small percentage of the Army and Marine Corps who are actual "trigger pullers" to do all of the dangerous work for the exact same pay. They go to Iraq/Afghanistan where their job is done by some division of Haliburton, and with nothing to do, eat, shop and play video games for a year. These individuals when they come home make-up fantastic stories of their heroism in pitched combat with an insurgency they've only ever actually seen on CNN and unfortunately these stories can only be dissected by the something like 15-20% of the Army and Marine Corps who's job it is to do battle with insurgents. Long story short, if someone tells you they are an "in-flight missile repair technician" and relates some story to you that involves them slashing throats and kicking down doors rest assured that there is something like a 80-90% chance that they are complete liars. These people are who you in the media hold up as examples of what is going on in Iraq. I can assure you as an 11b Infantryman and Sniper my job is to kill people, and it is not something I take lightly. Nor should it be expected that I run down and give some guy with an artillery shell in his hand a questionairre to assess his guilt, we are not police officers and cannot be held to the same standard (I had to say that, it seems the media expects everyone to get detained these days). A guy in Iraq carrying an artillery shell is a terrorist, period he requires no trial only execution to try to detain this individual or to expect anyone to is sheer stupidity. I'm done.

you're also in need of some serious mental counseling, and probably enforced isolation from civil society.
