Re: CAPCR: Support Civilian Review April 12

Yes, protesting this is a good idea. Because, of course, Slay([search]), the Police Board, and Mokwa([search]) give so much weight to public opinion. I'm sure that the sight of a few CAPCR([search]) members prancing about will cause the aforementioned pricks to suddenly think to themselves, "You know, they're right! The police in this city really are a bunch of drooling, criminal, pieces of ferret crap! We need a real review board!"

The only way this will ever happen is a lawsuit resulting in a consent decree, or enough instances of violence against the worst of the city cops. If the police begin to see the consequences of their actions on the street (Rather than the courtroom, which never happens in St. Louis), perhaps they'll be more willing to accept a less painful form of oversight.
